What is The SMP Senior Team?

The SMP Senior Team is a group of High School Senior’s from Boise’s Treasure Valley who want to have the best Senior Year experience possible! When you are part of the SMP Senior Team you will build self confidence, lift and support each others, and create cherished memories. As a part of the SMP Senior Team will be the first in your Senior Class to have your Senior pictures taken. You will also have the opportunity to participate in exclusive events like the Day at the Lake, a Day at the Fair, mini shoots, and exclusive SMP Senior Team parties. You will also have the opportunity to go on destination sessions and you could win a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!

The Process:

Once you have filled out the attached application we will review it and reach out to schedule a Studio Tour where we will help you finish the process. The steps will include choosing your session type and picking your session day. Then it will be time to sit back an enjoy your Senior Session and exclusive SMP Senior Team member photoshoots & events!

The levels above are just participation levels. All are dependent on which senior session you schedule. Book your Senior Session before February 15th and choose the SMP Senior Team level that fits in that criteria.

Influencer Activities

FASHION FOR A CAUSE!

Probably the single most important event we do all year is the Fashion For A Cause Fashion Show. SMP Senior Team members will have the opportunity to walk the runway while showcasing styles from local stores around the Valley. This event is a fundraiser for a local charity.

DAY AT THE LAKE: McCALL

Volleyball, boating, food and fun. Our annual Day at the Lake is an event for parent’s & the Senior Team alike. Each summer we get together at McCall for a full day of making friends, relaxing in the sun, and playing on the water!

MINI-PHOTOSHOOTS

While we take fun pictures at all our events we also schedule mini sessions that SMP Senior Team members can participate in. From Valentines Day to Fall mini shoots, or just for fun when it snows. Everyone will get free digitals to share with family & friends.

NIGHT AT THE FAIR

You just can’t call it summer without spending a night at the fair. Each year we meet up with our SMP Senior Team at the Clark County Fair for fun, food and photos! This is another great opportunity to simply hang out together and make new friends.

PARTY, PARTY, PARTY!

Who does not love a good party with friends to celebrate holidays like Halloween, Christmas, and of course graduation? Through out your Senior Year we will host simple yet fun parties at the SMP Studio in Meridian.

EXCLUSIVE EVENTS

Sometimes many of The SMP Senior Team will get together for group activities like a movie night at the studio or even unsanctioned events amongst themselves. All of which is possible from being apart of a program that brings Senior’s from the Treasure Valley together.

F.A.Q.

Does the Senior Team cost anything?

The short answer is “No”. It does not cost anything additional to be a member of the SMP Senior Team. However, as a team member, you will be committing to have me as your Senior Photographer and there is a financial investment in your session. Also, if you are graduating in 2025 or 2026 there is a fee for participating in earlier years as part of our Jr. Influencer Team. See below under the tab “What if I don’t Graduate in 2025?”

What is the Time Commitment?

The only true time commitment is for the day of your Senior Session. The other group photoshoots, events, and activities are completely optional. Our goal is to provide opportunities for you to have the best Senior year possible.

How many individuals are on the team?

While it varies from year to year and we try to include as many people as possible. We also want a Senior Team size that will support the values and goals of the program, which are to build self-confidence, lift and support each other, and create cherished memories.

What if I don't Graduate in 2024?

Thats ok, you can join in the fun now! As a Sophomore or Junior you will pay a program fee of $395 for Sophomores graduating in the class of 2026 and $295 for Juniors graduating in the class of 2025. While you will get to participate in most of the activities and get lots of fun pictures some events are exclusively for 2024 Seniors. .

What If I don't know how to pose?

No need to stress about not knowing how to pose or feeling awkward in front of the camera. Sam has been working in the industry for 25+ years will direct you using your natural movements and developed portrait poses that accentuate your best self!

What if I don't want to do the Fashion Show?

You will never be forced to do anything that you do not want to participate in. However, will certainly encourage you to participate. The fashion show is one of the best events we host every year. Not only is it a great way to participate in a community fundraiser for a good cause it can really boost your self confidence and honestly its just a fun activity you won’t want to miss out on!

What do I get out of it?

Honestly you will get what you put into it. All of the exclusive events and photoshoots are completely optional. Some Seniors will attend each offered event and others will come to the ones that interest them. Most of our past SMP Senior Team members have met some of their best friends & college roommates through the program. Most importantly our goal is to help you grow & develop a strong sense of self worth and to see your self the way others see you. Of course there are just a lot of fun experiences and lots of pictures to top it off. And we can’t forget your senior pictures. If you are planning to get senior pictures this year this is a no brainer.
